Summit of Mount Everest 2013

I made the Summit of Mount Everest at 6.30am on the 13th of May 2013. I became the first man in Connaught to stand on the top of the world. Over two years of hard work and commitment paid off when I made the summit and got hugely rewarded to do so. I had a perfectly clear morning where I could see the horizon, 500 kilometers away in all directions. The expedition was completely self funded and 100% of funds went to charity Here is a list of events I have put my body and mind through in the build up to Everest and since

•    Manaslu Summit, 8163m, 8th highest in the world
•    Denali, Alaska 6190m
•    Ama Dablam, Nepal 6812m
•    Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak
•    Aconcagua 6965, South America’s highest peak 2013
•    Mont Blanc Summit, Europes Highest peak
•    Connemarathon, Limerick Marathon, Burren Marathon
•    Portumna Ultra Marathon
•    Galway Bay swim, 13 kilometres

In April 2019 I will attempt to climb the north face of the Eiger in Switzerland. An 1800m vertical face of rock and ice, it will be a 2 day epic attempt, the most technical climb in the Alps.
