Role Responsibilities

- Provide monthly cost reporting and support commercial scorecard submissions.
- Collaborate with site teams to align budgets with project milestones and delivery schedules.

Key Requirements
- Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor with 5+ years’ experience, ideally in main contracting.
- Proven expertise in commercial management, contract administration (PWC, RIAI), and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of subcontractor account management and procurement processes.
- In-depth understanding of Irish construction regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with Cubit, Procore, and Asta is an advantage.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

- Full Irish Driving licence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Estimator who is looking to build their commercial career within a main contracting environment. Working as part of the Commercial team, you will support the preparation of project estimates, tenders, subcontractor enquiries and cost analysis, while developing a strong understanding of construction methods, pricing and procurement.

- Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings alongside Senior Estimators and members of the project team.

- Assist with post-tender reviews and lessons learned to support continuous improvement in estimating accuracy.
- Maintain tender and estimating documentation in line with OCC procedures and quality standards.
- Develop proficiency in estimating software including Buildsoft, Cubit and Microsoft Excel, with training and support provided.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Previous experience in estimating, quantity surveying or a construction commercial environment would be an advantage, but graduates with the right aptitude will also be considered
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and construction documentation
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams
- A genuine interest in developing a career in construction estimating
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage competing deadlines
- Experience with estimating software such as Buildsoft or Cubit would be an advantage but is not essential
