Project Manager

As a Project Manager with our company you will work collaboratively with the contracts manager and company director to deliver high quality projects from inception to handover. Projects can include schools, residential developments, commercial developments and refurbishment.

Salary €60-80k DOE.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager role include;

Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction of structures, facilities, and systems.
Develop project plans and schedules and execute plans to achieve agreed outcomes
Comply with the Health & Safety aspects of the project in line with company policies and procedures.
Co-ordinate project activities in accordance with company Quality System, Standard Quality Procedures and Engineering

Specifications.

Manage complete day to day life-cycle of project from initial stages through to hand-over.
Meet agreed objectives in the areas of timely delivery, cost, quality and client satisfaction.
Work to resolve critical site issues.
Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
Obtain all necessary internal permits.
To be responsible for the successful delivery of project through leadership, management, technical & engineering expertise throughout the project life-cycle.
Manage the day to day site operations of subcontractors on site
Manage the day-to-day internal finishes on site
Help manage project in line with the agreed production targets
Manage the work flow of sub-contractors ensuring they’re in line with the program of works on site
Agree sub-contractors’ long term and short term program and monitor performance
Ensure highest level of health and safety and Quality is upheld at all times

Qualifications, Skills & Experience;

5+ years experience in a PM role in construction.
Ideally experienced in Public Contract construction.
Must have experience Project Managing the construction of Residential developments
Third level qualification in construction management/Civil Engineering.
Excellent delegation & organisational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of quality and safety management systems.
Good IT skills with ability to generate detailed site reports.
Ability to drive projects and work within strict deadlines.
Excellent understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
Full Irish driving license.

Salary €60-80k DOE.

Junior Quantity Surveyor

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor with our company you will work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyors to ensure that we deliver quality projects within budget across a range of sectors while developing and maintaining long term relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.   You will work collaboratively within a team of highly experienced Quantity Surveyors who will provide you with valuable mentoring and learning opportunities.

Salary €35-45k DOE.

Responsibilities of the Junior Quality Surveyor role include;

Liaising and supporting Senior QS

Assisting with the preparation of project cost and evaluation, issuing tender enquiries and reporting on comparatives.

Procurement of subcontractors.

Evaluation of tenders from subcontractors.

Play a supporting role in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

Work as part of a team to ensure that the requirements of the client are delivered.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience;

Degree in Quantity Surveying.

Willingness to learn and positive attitude

Strong numeracy and communication skills.

Ability to meet targets and deadlines.

Ability to work on own initiative

Good IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Office.

Ability to use Buildsoft, Cubit & Autocad.

Project Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor with our company, you will work collaboratively with the contracts manager and management team to deliver high quality projects from inception to handover. Projects can include Residential, Educational, Healthcare, Commercial and Refurbishment Projects.

Salary €55-75k DOE.

Responsibilities of the Project Quantity Surveyor role include;

To ensure optimum commercial return is achieved for the projects.

Prepare the cost / value reconciliation reports accurately

Managing standard construction contract forms, including variations and final account agreements

Supervising and managing the accurate and timely project delivery reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Ensure subcontract orders are prepared in accordance with company procedure having achieved the appropriate approvals.

Attending meetings with the Client, design teams, subcontractors and specialist subcontractors

Qualifications, Skills & Experience;

Quantity Surveying Degree or similar with 3+ years’ post Graduate experience

Experience working with PWC form of contract

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret and present data to facilitate preparation of budgets and subsequent valuations

Proficient in Excel and Cubit

Methodical, conscientious and organized, works to deliver high standards

Confident working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team

Purchasing Manager

As a Purchaser/Buyer with our company you will work collaboratively with the finance team and the Quantity Surveyors to deliver high quality projects within budget and in most cost effective manner for the company and client.

Salary €55-75k DOE.

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager role include;

Creating and implementing procedures for the new purchasing software alongside the accounts and management team.

Working with management and accounts team to agree materials, labour and plant packages successfully.

Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate on behalf of OCC to maximise financial efficiency.

Obtaining quotes, placing orders, ensuring agreed rates and terms are set up with suppliers and agreeing rates to maximise financial efficiency.

Procuring building materials, processing purchase orders through purchasing software and following through to payment stage.

Identify any possible supply issues which would interfere with the forecasted timelines for projects in an efficient and timely manner.

Liaising with suppliers in relation to deliveries and order dates

Interacting with Project teams regarding purchasing and supplier queries.

Liaising with suppliers and accounts payable team, managing material budgets and resolving invoicing queries.

Producing monthly / project end budgetary control reports on all materials purchased for each site – Tender Budget vs Actual.

Procuring and hiring plant required on site including cabins, forklifts, fencing, transport etc.

Procuring PPE and office equipment.

Managing plant & equipment movement.

Resolve account queries with suppliers that the accounts department have failed to resolve through normal procedures.

Report on procurement to MD and management team monthly

Comply with QEHS policies and procedures and ensure that documentation complies with ISO requirements.

Assisting the estimating department with obtaining pre tender quotations and resolving material specification issues.

General purchasing administration as required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience;

3+ years experience in a buying/purchasing role, ideally in construction.

Proficient in purchasing management software such as Livecosts.

Third level qualification in procurement/supply chain/business would be advantageous.

Accuracy working with numbers and ability to pay close attention to detail.

Ability to work well in a team in a fast paced office environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Good IT skills with ability to generate detailed reports.

Ability to work within strict deadlines.

Responsibilities of the Senior Site Engineer role include;

Establish and maintain procedures with design team, client and subcontractors for information flow, approvals, meetings and reporting.

Reporting to management team on the programme schedule and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications and building standards.

Setting out using total station & GPS equipment.

Undertaking surveys and ensuring engineering details are being followed on site.

Supervising subcontractors and checking quality of works.

Liaising with clients, subcontractors, quantity surveyors and other project stakeholders.

Conduct document reviews, scheduling and attending site meetings to ensure overall compliance with building schedule.

Reporting to the Project Manager and senior management team on all aspects of engineering to do with the project.

Managing & providing training to Junior staff & Engineers

Ensuring compliance with agreed construction methods particularly those relating to Quality Assurance and Health & Safety.

Manage project close out including securing warranties, guarantees and acceptance of work, subcontract and vendor closing, including as built submissions.

Prepares and submits reports and other site paperwork in a timely manner.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience;

5+ years in similar position.

Engineering Degree required.

Knowledge of construction techniques and be competent in all aspects of setting out, surveying, and temporary works.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong IT skills with good knowledge of MS office.

A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.

Strong Management Skills

Full Irish Driving licence

Setting Out Engineer

As a Setting Out Engineer with our company you will work collaboratively with the project manager and project team to deliver quality projects from inception to handover. Projects can include schools, residential developments, commercial developments and refurbishment.

Responsibilities of the Setting Out Engineer role include;

Setting out using total station & GPS equipment.

Undertaking surveys and ensuring engineering details are being followed on site.

Liaising with clients, subcontractors, quantity surveyors and other project stakeholders.

Reporting to the Project Manager and senior management team on all aspects of engineering to do with the project.
