Project Description :
The project involved the re-roofing and renovation of stone facades on a protected 17th century Galway City landmark building. Works included the removal of asbestos, dismantling and labelling of existing roof to allow the repair of protected structural timberwork. Existing natural slates were re-installed on new roofing membrane with bespoke Lead flashings to match existing buildings. The limestone parapets and steeples were fully restored and all associated stonework on the building was re-point with lime mortar. All works were carried out in accordance our heritage professional’s guidance.
